Ryanair's CEO stated that major airlines lost historical slots in the summer, hindering early marketing of flights.

An ultimatum was set to return slots by September 30, or winter and summer schedules would be canceled, and planes reallocated.

The Airports Authority responded, noting equal treatment of all carriers per international criteria, emphasizing past slot losses by other airlines.

They rejected threats of flight cancellations but welcomed Ryanair's desire to continue operating in Israel.
