Ryanair warning as paperless boarding pass deadline confirmed for passengers
Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary has announced that the airline will transition to 100% digital boarding passes starting from November 12, after having postponed the original deadline from November 3.
Passengers will no longer be able to download and print physical paper boarding passes, but will need to present a digital boarding pass generated through the Ryanair app.
This change is expected to eliminate airport check-in fees, provide direct updates from Ryanair's operations center during disruptions, and save 300 tonnes of paper annually.
O'Leary assures passengers not to worry about potential issues with digital boarding passes, emphasizing the convenience and benefits of the switch.
The re-issue fee for a lost boarding pass will also be waived starting from November 12.
