Ryanair открывает новую базу на Сицилии: это позволит запустить более 20 новых маршрутов
Irish budget carrier Ryanair has announced the opening of a new base in Trapani-Marsala, Italy, starting January 2026.
This decision is attributed to the regional authorities' cancellation of municipal taxes at small airports in Sicily.
The investment in the new base is set at $200 million, enabling the launch of 23 new routes, including connections to 11 major European destinations.
The expansion will add 260,000 additional passenger seats and connect the Trapani airport to nine countries.
Ryanair's CEO Eddie Wilson stated that the airline is prepared to invest $4 billion in Italy to introduce over 250 new routes.
The airline plans to transition fully to digital boarding passes by mid-November 2025 and is reducing.
